Background: I came to Independence Plus with a Religious and Special Education Background. I have volunteered/worked in the DD field since March of 1977 (Yes, a very long time!!!). I moved to Phoenix in 1989 and worked at Gompers Center for 9 years. Then founding/opening Independence Plus in mid 1998 where I have been ever since. I have had opportunities to work in other fields, but I don't feel the level of joy would be there!!! My work is my ministry in which I have dedicated myself.
